Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 September 2026
1. The service
Papyra (“we”, “the service”) provides an API that converts HTML documents and web pages into PDF files. By creating an account at papyra.me you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential and for all activity performed with them. If you believe a key has been exposed, revoke it from your dashboard immediately — revocation takes effect at once. You must be at least 18 years old, or have authority to bind the organization you represent.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- produce documents that impersonate a real person or organization, or that are designed to deceive, including fake invoices, receipts, identity documents or credentials;
- generate phishing material, malware, or content intended to defraud;
- render content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- attempt to access internal systems, other customers' data, or to bypass quotas, rate limits or our network restrictions;
- resell the raw API as a competing rendering service.
We may suspend an account that violates this section, and will do so without notice where the activity is clearly harmful or illegal.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the HTML you send and the PDFs we produce. We process that content only to render your documents and to operate the service. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models. Generated documents are deleted automatically after 7 days.
5. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction. Each plan includes a monthly document allowance; when it runs out, rendering stops until the next billing cycle or an upgrade — we do not charge overage automatically.
You can cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not prorate refunds for partial months. If a payment fails, we retry for a short period before downgrading the account to the free plan.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service running continuously, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability except where an explicit SLA is part of your plan. We may perform maintenance, change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you are paying for.
7. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data.
You are responsible for the accuracy of documents you generate. We render what you send; we do not verify its contents.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
